Hemolytic fixative for cytological samples
Cytobiologic Fluid is an alcohol-based fixative specific for cytological specimens with blood since it contains haemolytic principles.
The fixative lyses red blood cells, solubilizes proteins and fixes cells and small tissue fragments.
Samples that can be processed with this fixative are: sputa, brushed, biological fluids and needle biopsies.
Cytobiologic Fluid can be used also for urine with haematuria.
Fixation time is reduced if the sample is collected directly in Cytobiologic Fluid.
