Zinc Formalin: features
All-purpose fixative for histology particularly recommended for hematopoietic tissues.
Compared with neutral buffered formalin, zinc formalin keeps tissue antigenicity more marked.
The specimen must be immersed in a volume of 4% Formaldehyde equal to approximately 5 times its own and fixation lasts from 18 to 24 hours followed by washing in running water for approximately 1 hour.
