Xilmount - 3043

Mounting medium for cytology and histology composed of acrylic resins in xylene to be used with specimens that have been treated with xylene before mounting.

Filtered, non-sterile, ready to use; the product is dropped onto the stained and dehydrated specimen and the slide is covered airtight with a cover glass.

The evaporation causes the mounting medium hardness, forming a solid, clear film under the cover glass, preserving the stained specimen and thus enabling it to be kept for several years for re-analysis.

Thanks to the glass-similar refractive properties of the mounting medium, the sample can be observed under a microscope without any interference.
