Carnoy's liquid: features
Universal fixative for histology and cytology, elective for glycogen.
Fixation times range from 3 to 6 hours for small samples, 24 to 48 hours for large pieces.
During long fixation, it is advisable to change the solution;
For quick fixation of cryostatic sections, set for 5 minutes at 40°C.
After fixation pass directly in alcohol for dehydration.
